Date puree - simply homemade

Ingredients for a jar containing approx. 500 g:

- 450 g pitted dates
- 50 g water
- a little bit of sea salt

We love dates ! Do you? Then this simple, quick, and delicious recipe might be just the thing for you.

It is made from 100% of our delicious Yogi Yousef's organic dates. These super-juicy and mega-delicious fruits are a treat on their own, and as date paste, they offer a natural and healthy sweetener with a mild flavor.

It is so versatile and, for us, an absolute alternative to other sweeteners.

You can use it in sweet dishes and baked goods as well as in savory dishes, curries, or sauces. If you add a few pinches of fleur de sel to your date paste, you will get a particularly caramel-like flavor.

Preparation:

Cover the dates with the water and leave to infuse overnight.

The next day, puree everything and pour into a screw-top jar.

It will keep for about a week if stored in the fridge. You can also freeze it in ice cube trays and take it out in portions.
