Consists of 3 beeswax wraps:
- Small: approx. 16x16cm (for lemons, cucumbers, onions & co.)
- Medium: approx. 25x25cm (for cheese, pineapple, honeydew melon & Co)
- Large: approx. 33x33cm (for bowls, snacks & Co)
Beeswax towels are perfect for keeping food fresh and at the same time eliminating the need for cling film and aluminum foil. Therefore, you make a small contribution every day to protect the environment.
Our beeswax towels are made only from natural and organic ingredients. The basic material consists of organic cotton, which is soaked with a mixture of organic beeswax, tree resin and organic jojoba oil.
Since the wraps are breathable and both the beeswax and tree resin have antibacterial properties, food stays fresh for a long time. Due to the contained jojoba oil, the wraps are additionally very supple.
They are also washable and therefore easy to clean. Unfortunately, they are not suitable for the dishwasher, because the wax begins to melt above 62 degrees. Therefore, you should also refrain from wrapping raw meat in the wraps, as in this case a sufficiently hygienic condition is not guaranteed.
The small size (16x16cm) is best for wrapping small cut foods, e.g. lemons, cucumbers, onions, etc.
The medium size (25x25cm) can be used for example for cheese or larger fruits like pineapple or honeydew melons.
Due to the contained tree resin the wraps stick easily.
The biggest wrap (33x33cm) can be used for covering bowls and bigger fruits like watermelons.
The shelf life of our beeswax wraps is about 1 year, depending on the intensity of use.
