What is barley grass juice powder?

The fundamental difference to barley Barley Grass (Bio) is the production process and the resulting nutrient concentration. Once the barley grass has been harvested, it is usually dried and then processed directly into powder.
However, this is not the case with barley grass juice powder. Here, the harvested stalks are pressed into juice and the juice is then gently dried and processed into powder. Thanks to this method of production, it is possible to offer the nutrient diversity of barley grass in an even higher concentration. Barley grass juice powder also contains almost no fiber and plant fibers.

Every single step in the processing of our barley grass juice powder is carried out in strict compliance with the raw food criteria. This means not only during the drying of the juice, but also during transportation and pressing.

Harvesting and transportation take place in the early morning or evening so that the temperature cannot rise too high due to the sunlight.

During the immediate subsequent pressing of the barley grass, the temperature of the press is constantly monitored with the help of sensors and thus the speed and the associated pressure are constantly adjusted to ensure that the temperature does not rise too high. In addition, both the press and the juice obtained are constantly cooled.

Further processing into barley grass juice powder is carried out using a special low-temperature drying process, which also ensures that the powder remains free-flowing and does not clump together. You therefore receive a barley grass juice powder of the highest quality.

Special features of cultivation:

As barley grass juice powder is a concentrate with a concentration ratio of 30:1, i.e. 1 kg of barley grass juice powder is obtained from 30 liters of juice, it is extremely important that cultivation, harvesting and further processing are as clean as possible. This is so important because a concentrate not only accumulates nutrients, but also potentially harmful substances. The cultivation of our barley grass therefore takes place under special conditions.

Volcanic soils & seclusion:

To ensure that the end product is both rich in nutrients and free of pollutants, special soils are required on the one hand and special seclusion on the other. Our barley grass is therefore grown on particularly fertile volcanic soils in the USA, which results in an increased nutrient content and enables several harvests per year. Volcanic soils also bind water easily and are very light, which is why they allow good root penetration. They are therefore ideal for agricultural use.

The second important criterion is the absence of pollutants. To ensure this, our barley grass is grown in the vast plains of the Midwest of the USA, far away from any industry or conventional agriculture. This prevents the infiltration of pesticides, exhaust fumes or other pollutants, resulting in a barley grass powder that is highly concentrated yet free of contaminants.

Barley grass juice powder in the human diet:

The Federal Environment Agency has published a table on this topic that shows how much CO2 is produced during the production of various foods.

This shows that plant-based foods generally manage with 0.2-1.7 kg of CO2 equivalent per kg of plant mass, while animal-based foods just start at 1.7 kg of CO2 equivalent, but are on average between 5-7 kg of CO2 equivalent and, in the case of beef, even over 20.

The table also clearly shows that the more regionally a food is produced, the smaller its CO2 footprint.

In addition, the direct consumption of plant-based foods naturally also requires significantly less arable land, which would otherwise be used to grow animal feed. Conventional soybeans from Latin America, for example, which are generally used as animal feed in cattle breeding, are criticized because large areas of rainforest are cleared for their cultivation.

Ich versuche mich seit einiger Zeit vegetarisch zu ernähren und da kommt irgendwann zwangsläufig auf pflanzliche Konzentrat-Pulver. Die erste Bestellung hat einen guten Eindruck gemacht.
