Plum jam confectionery with 83% fruit content

Our plum jam confectionery is handmade with love in a small Latvian family business.

The Baltic and Scandinavian countries are known for their abundance of berries and fruit.

Many berries such as sea buckthorn, blueberries and cranberries grow naturally in the wild here or are cultivated as vitamin-rich foods, such as gooseberries and currants.

In their small factory, Livija and her husband Pēteris turn these wonderful fruits into a fruit confection with a unique taste.

After many years of trial and error, the couple managed to find the perfect recipe that offers a good balance between taste, firmness and shelf life.

The plum confection consists of 83% sea buckthorn, 16% sugar and 1% pectin.

It therefore represents the perfect combination of aromatic plum flavor and pleasantly soft bite.

Over time, the natural fruit sugar in the confectionery begins to crystallize, similar to the crystallization that occurs in honey. This is a natural process and is not a quality defect. The fine aroma does not suffer from this either.
