Wild blueberries are so healthy because of their exceptionally high content of phytochemicals.
These act as powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in the body.
As a result, they protect against cell damage, have strong anti-inflammatory effects, and significantly promote health.
Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend the shake thoroughly for at least 30 seconds. Best enjoyed ice-cold.
Some key benefits of the little blue power fruit:
Cardiovascular health: The blue pigment keeps blood vessels elastic, improves blood circulation, and can effectively help regulate blood pressure.
Brain support: The antioxidants penetrate deep into the brain. Regular consumption promotes cognitive performance and concentration and may protect against age-related decline.
Gut health:
The high fiber content and tannins serve as food for beneficial gut bacteria. In naturopathy, dried berries are also traditionally used to treat diarrhea
Nutrient powerhouse:
Unlike larger cultivated blueberries, which have light-colored flesh, the flesh of wild blueberries is deep red to purple. Per 100 grams, they contain far more antioxidants as well as valuable vitamins (vitamins C, E, K) and minerals such as iron and zinc
...and best of all: they taste delicious!
