- General information about hemp:
Hemp is a renewable, highly resilient raw material that has been used by humans for thousands of years for a wide variety of purposes. In addition to textiles, paper, fabrics and medicines, the benefits of hemp seeds are also of great importance.
There is more to them than most people realize. The Egyptians recognized the potential of hemp seeds a very long time ago. They contain all 8 essential amino acids, important minerals and trace elements, as well as essential fatty acids. Hemp seeds can be eaten directly or processed further, for example into our organic hemp protein.
What is protein?
Proteins are found in all cells of the human body and are essential for life. They are the building blocks of our muscles, act as catalysts (enzymes) and are used to transmit information (hormones, receptors).
Proteins are made up of amino acids. For humans, 21 amino acids are important, eight of which are essential, i.e. our body cannot synthesize these amino acids itself, so we have to get them from our food.
- Why is hemp protein so valuable?
Biological value
The biological value describes how well the ingested protein can be converted into the body's own structures. Our organic hemp protein has a very good biological value. It is very similar to the human organism, as it contains all eight essential amino acids and therefore less dietary protein needs to be ingested to build it up.
Vegan, healthy and easy to digest
Our organic hemp protein is an excellent alternative to whey protein, an animal protein.
There are many different types of diet. Everyone is probably familiar with the vegetarian diet by now, but the vegan diet, which means not eating any products of animal origin, is also becoming increasingly popular, not only for ethical reasons but also for health reasons.
Animal protein is digested for a very long time compared to plant protein. This is a problem for people who are sensitive in this respect: after a meal containing protein, they feel sluggish and have an unpleasant feeling of fullness. This can be a major limitation in everyday life. This problem can be avoided with our organic hemp protein.
Another factor that contributes to good digestibility is the absence of trypsin inhibitors. Trypsin is an important enzyme for digestion, but it is inhibited by these substances, which also contributes to a long digestion time. Unlike other vegetable proteins, our organic hemp protein is free from these inhibitors.
Our hemp protein is therefore also suitable for consumption before training. For optimum training success, we recommend combining it with our organic guarana powder or our ginseng.

- Quality features
Certified organic - Our organic hemp protein is certified by the German organic control body ABCERT/DE-ÖKO-006.
Vegan, lactose- and gluten-free - Our organic hemp protein is of purely plant-based origin and free from gluten and lactose.
Nutrient diversity - In addition to a protein content of 41%, our organic hemp protein also contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, fibre and antioxidants. It also contains important minerals such as iron, zinc and magnesium.
While hemp seeds used to be considered food for "poor people", today they enjoy an excellent reputation among nutrition-conscious people.
This is due on the one hand to the pleasant taste and the wide range of possible uses in the diet and on the other hand to the excellent nutritional values of hemp seeds. Hemp seeds taste pleasantly nutty, are easy to roast and are therefore easy to integrate as an addition to salads or muesli, when cooking or baking bread.
The high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and high-quality protein has already been mentioned.
To increase the biological value of hemp protein even further, we recommend combining it with other protein-rich foods. Our organic chlorella or organic spirulina powder are particularly suitable for this, but flower pollen and royal jelly are also suitable.
